Developed by Dr. Mikio Sankey, Esoteric Acupuncture weaves together the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, sacred geometry, the chakra system, and energetic healing philosophies. Within this tradition, the body is understood as more than its physical form, with an intricate energetic system connecting our emotions, consciousness, and spiritual awareness. Through carefully selected acupuncture points arranged in sacred geometric patterns, treatments are intended to encourage harmony within the meridians and chakras. Each chakra represents different aspects of our inner experience, from our sense of grounding and safety to the openness of our hearts, our intuition, and our connection to higher consciousness.

Your treatment begins with a gentle conversation about where you are in your life and what you may be seeking, whether that's emotional balance, greater clarity, personal growth, or simply a deeper sense of peace. From there, I'll select a specific Esoteric Acupuncture pattern that aligns with your intentions. Fine, sterile needles are placed at carefully chosen points on the body, creating geometric patterns traditionally believed to support energetic alignment. As you rest, you're invited to settle into stillness, meditate, or simply observe whatever arises without expectation or judgment. Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, or more connected to themselves afterward, although every experience is unique.

Having studied Esoteric Acupuncture directly with Dr. Mikio Sankey through both his foundational and advanced training, I bring this beautiful practice into my Sherwood Park acupuncture clinic with a compassionate and individualized approach.
